Add Server
Frontend and backend servers, plus in-path proxies (HAProxy, PG Proxy). Assign a Category so connectivity can be configured group-to-group below, instead of one server at a time.

Add Load Balancer
F5 BIG-IP LTM, a database cluster VIP (e.g. DB2 TSAMP), or another load-balancing appliance. No operating system to assign — these are appliances/VIPs, not hosts. Add its IP/Subnet/VLAN here once — Group Connections below reference it by name only.

Add Group Connection
Pick one Source — a Group of servers, or External / Internal Users — then say how many Target Groups it connects to. Example: Source App, Number of Target Groups 2 → Target Group 1 HA Proxy via DB-F5-VIP, Target Group 2 Redis via Direct. Multiple targets from the same Source render side by side, underneath it, in the diagram. F5 VIPs are the ones you've added above in the Load Balancer Inventory — pick "Direct" for no VIP in between.
